Welcome to our website! The Kansas City Ostomy Support Group is affiliated with the UOAA - United Ostomy Association of America - and has been active in this area for over 40 years. We currently meet the second Wednesday of months February, April, May, June, August, October and November at the Life Dynamics building, 9120 W. 75th Street, located directly in front of the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, just west of 75th and Antioch in Overland Park, KS. Our meetings are from 7pm - 8:30 pm. At each meeting, we meet/greet each other, frequently have professional speakers.

In April we will have an Annual Appliance Fair. Representatives from different vendors bring samples of their new products and talk with us about what's going on in their business world.  In May, we have our annual picnic and just have fun.

In addition, Dr. Bruce Graham, M.D., FACS, speaks with us at least once a year and everyone walks away from his talk enlightened in ways they couldn't imagine.

November is a very special time to celebrate the upcoming holidays and recognize those that were a huge contributor to the organizations current years successes.

 

Members of our group receive a newsletter every meeting month called the "Grapevine", so pay your dues and you'll receive one in the mail. Our website can only do so much and sometimes people just need to talk to one another. That's what the Kansas City Support Group is for ... to help you connect with other people.
